What is that you ask? Why that is: From December 15 to January 15 Firebrand is closing its usual query and letting anyone just send in the first chapter of a completed novel, and if they like it THEY WILL GET BACK TO YOU BY FEB FIRST!!!!

I got a shiny used macbook pro today. It is sweet, and got it for less than a new regular macbook, which is just incredible considering that this is a very high end model, even for the MBP, which I never would've considered getting otherwise. Ever. o_o
Still getting used to OSX (obviously, only had it for about two hours xD) but the transition is pretty smooth overall, since I use macs exclusively in school. It's just the details that I don't fully get, but I'm learning pretty quickly.
Luckily almost all the free software I like is available for macs too. o_o Saves me a lot of trouble that way. And once I figure out more stuff, I'll be trying to get all my windows only programs working, too. (opencanvas cough)
It's really nice compared to my old 8 year old HP Pavilion (duh? :p). I really wish there was a home/end/pgup/pgdn/ins/del thing though, my only gripe so far.
Anyways, it's nice having a laptop again. Makes me happy.

So far, I'm sick. Ear infection, Sinus Infection, Migranes, Throat/Gland Infection. I managed to book myself an appointment for tomorrow (christmas eve). That way I can start on antibiotics and feel a bit better in time for Christmas.
Moving on. For my wishlist for this joyous holiday, I asked for:
Gift Certificates to clothes stores, Deserres (the most amazing art store in the universe!!) I asked for a new memory card for my digital camera as well. I can't do much with it right now, since my memory card (that came with it) is incredibly low. I asked for some manga from my siblings, as well as a CD. Then of course, $$$. I need money badly. ^^;
I think my mom got me an electric blanket, which in all honesty, I don't need. I'm fine with layering blankets until my window is replaced. ^^; But if she did buy me one, I'll still use it.
