Mood: Accomplished

The schools in my school system have implemented new rules for dances.
1. Dresses must cover your shoulders.
2. Dresses must not show any of your back.
3. You must not grind.
4. Yor bodies must not be touching.
Etc. Etc. Etc.
Any violation of these rules will result in you getting kicked out immediately.

*Basically, they want us to wear gunny-sack dresses and dance with beachballs in between us.

Now, while I am not a fan of having sex with clothes on (ie: grinding), I also am not a fan of the school system trying to control us so much.

So, what did we do? Me, my gay best friend (who turns straight for me for dances XD), and basically everyone else from my school went to this new club downtown for students under the age of 21. The school district demanded that they be closed for the night, so that wouldn't happen.


But, of course, they remained open and we ended up having an awesome time.

Tyranny will not prevail! LOL

Mood: Panicked

There comes a point in every young persons life when they have to decide what they wish to do after high school.

Well, today, at this very moment, I am at that time in my life.

I had a half day at school today, so my mom this morning was all like, "Danae, today would be a perfect to day to start filling out college applications. Please get something accomplished."

So I was all thinking, okay, it can't be that hard. And it's not like it matters if I get accepted and yada, yada, yada.

But then I came to the part on the application where it asks you to put what my major will be and I started to panic. I don't know what I want to do yet. My problem is that I have too MANY majors I'm interested in, primarily English, but I also have a HUGE love for photography and history.

In the end, I didn't get anything accomplished. I'll probably end up being one of those people who are perpetually stuck in college because they keep changing their minds.

Hopefully my mom won't kill me when she gets home.

So I feel really bad about not contributing anything to "Halloween to the MAX." Lately I've been in sort of a creative slump. It fails, but I'll live.

Anyways, I've been overflowing lately with really lame-but-funny Halloween jokes and I thought I'd share just for the hell of it. (Because I know deep down inside you are all just as crazy as I am.)

How do you fix a jack-o-lantern?
With a pumpkin patch.

She bats her eyes.

Mood: Slightly sad.

Monday, October 20, 2008, was one of the most important days in my entire life: my 18th birthday.
Basically, it wasn't all too interesting (besides my parents buying a whole bottle of wine and us drinking all of it). We spent 12 hours driving and I got to drive while we were going through the most beautiful part of Colorado.
Unfortunately for me, my brother has just received his driving permit - and we decided to let him drive. So we were driving along the freeway at about 85 mph and all of a sudden.... BAM.
He hit a deer.
There was blood all over the road, all over the side of our car (the car was fine) and I swear I cried all the way home it was so sad.
And I'm pretty sure that's the only thing I'll remember about my 18th birthday.
